In 2012 I had an exhibition in Victoria BC titled Man Eating Landscapes. Many of the paintings featured in this collection were in that show, but I've added to and subtracted from the show images to feature just the mountains of Vancouver Island which made a huge impression on me when I first arrived here. They swallow humans whole; air craft disappear off radar and hikers vanish. They are sublime and, depending on proximity, whosoever beholds them may well feel the thrill of being in great peril.
